PKVW (Secured by Design)
21 February 2007 a license agreement has been signed between the foundation Centrum voor Criminaliteitspreventie en Veiligheid (CCV) and LPCB Nederland B.V. where LPCB Nederland is granted the right to use the certification scheme PKVW at granting and extend certificates and supply approvals. PKVW, which stands for Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen® (‘Police Mark Secured Housing’), is the Dutch equivalent of the British Police initiative ‘Secured by Design’. The PKVW certificate ensures that the homes are not only physically well protected but also that their public, communal and semi-private spaces are designed to redure the likelihood of crime and anti-social behaviour.
