LPCB Nederland B.V. is certification body in the area of fire prevention and crime prevention.
LPS1233 for fire extinguishing systems
LPCB has operated the BRE/LPCB LPS 1233 scheme covering the certification of fire protection systems in The Netherlands since January 2000. The scheme is operated in collaboration with CCV (Dutch Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety) and has the support of insurers, the fire service and trade organisations in Holland.
The LPS 1233 scheme is based on the EN 45011 product certification standard. It has over 35 recognised and approved sprinkler and gas installers and 4 licenced Inspection Bodies which are accredited by the Raad voor Accreditatie (RvA) to ISO 17020. About 3000 LPS 1233 System Certificates are issued each year for fire protection systems protecting buildings in Holland.
Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen® (Secured by Design)
21 February 2007 a license agreement has been signed between the foundation Centrum voor Criminaliteitspreventie en Veiligheid (CCV) and LPCB Nederland B.V. where LPCB Nederland is granted the right to use the certification scheme Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen® at granting and extend certificates and supply approvals. This certification scheme is comparable to the "Secured by Design" initiative of the British Police organisations.
Other licenses
In July 2007 the following license agreements for certification schemes have been signed between Centrum voor Criminaliteitspreventie en Veiligheid (CCV) and LPCB Nederland:
